General Manager
Peter Crayton is the General Manager at Telos Partners where he oversees a seasoned team that partners with medical device and biotechnology companies through a tailored approach that helps achieve their ultimate business goals in regulatory, reimbursement, and clinician adoption.
Peter has more than two decades of experience in leadership in healthcare working with global companies such as GE Healthcare and Sanofi Aventis to startups in the biopharma, medical technology and laboratory space. Peter was responsible for brands in a broad range of therapeutic areas including diabetes, cardiology and metabolism.
Peter’s experience in product marketing and management gave him a full view of the industry and honed his collaboration skills allowing him to launch several new products including products in CV, GI and hematology.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Management/Marketing from Purdue University and has also completed a health leadership program at Kellogg Graduate School and a strategic marketing program at Columbia Graduate School.
Regulatory Affairs Manager
Ken Riordan is the Regulatory Affairs Manager at Telos Partners where he develops and implements strategies for clients at every stage of a company’s lifecycle. Ken has spent his career in the public and private sector including time as a lead review at the FDA. He has worked in orthopedics, cardiovascular, medical imaging, and durable medical equipment fields.
Ken has led the workstreams of the design and development, quality, manufacturing and regulatory environments for clients. His broad experience facilitates the application of creative solutions, enabling the development and implementation of efficient and effective strategies. Ken holds a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
Director of Evidence, Science, & Innovation
Laura Shum, PhD, is the Director of Evidence, Science, & Innovation at Telos Partners where she leads the development and dissemination of clinical and scientific data for medical device companies to create compelling narratives for payors, regulatory bodies, and clinicians. Laura also sets the strategic vision for the department and establishes the structure and culture to successfully deliver strong results.
Laura has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed papers on subjects ranging from osteogenic differentiation to spinal fusion in high-impact journals such as Nature’s npj Regenerative Medicine, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, and the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research. She has developed and led several workshops and graduate-level classes on effective science communication, which has served her clients well in preparing abstracts, data presentations, and publications. Laura received her PhD in Translational Biomedical Sciences from the University of Rochester Medical Center.
